Hi, Chris Pearcey! Thanks for joining us today. Tell us about your business. Who do you serve, how do you serve them, and what's the impact that your business and work makes?

decisio media is a swipe-based discovery platform built to solve the decisio fatigue that plagues streaming audiences. We serve everyday viewers—people who just want to find something great to watch without wasting time scrolling through endless options. By combining intuitive design, smart data, and a focus on emotional resonance, decision helps users uncover hidden gems, track their favorites, and make movie night effortless. Our mission is to democratize discovery, giving indie creators and smaller studios the same visibility as blockbuster releases, and helping audiences connect with stories they truly care about.

Tell us about the moment you finally felt like you went from wantrepreneur to entrepreneur.

When I close our first investment deal.  It was not just an idea anymore, but something that people are believing in!

Describe the moment or period in your life/career that motivated you to make the entrepreneurial leap.

After several very successful idea to market launches that results in success for the companies I worked for, I realized that I was helping others make even more money, while I got more put on my plate. I realized that doing a great job meant more high exposure work with nothing else in return. It was time to do it for myself.

Describe a tool, service, or software that has been a game-changer for your business. How does it contribute to your success?

The Google business suite has made cross country collaboration seamless, which is important during the boot-strap phase of a start up.

We know that success is very often a non-linear path. Tell us about a failure, pivot point, or lesson that changed your course or direction and helped to get you where you are today.

After winning a top award at Nike for helping make a division profitable, my tools were taken over by a different team, globalized for all groups and I was laid off.  This moment made me realize there is no loyalty from companies and that I needed to me loyal to myself and anyone that would eventually work under or for me.

What unconventional strategy did you employ that significantly impacted your business?

I focused on the beta version 100% myself while my engineers started to work on the final project in parallel.  We got the beta to market in 40 days, which the feedback has been critical to where we are now!

What’s something you wish you knew sooner that you’d give as advice for aspiring or newer entrepreneurs?

Everyone want to join a start up in early sweat equity phase if they believe in the idea.  Surround yourself with the brightest and best people and get going!
